NORTH TORONTO MOMS GROUP (formerly MOMS Group) 
This not-for-profit mother's group has been around since 1965. Spend a morning with local-area moms. The group offers guest speakers, refreshments and child care. New members are always welcome, whether you are a stay-at-home mom, on maternity leave, or work part-time.

ELLA CENTRE FOR PREGNANCY & PARENTING
*Note: closed as of June 30, 2007 for hiatus until some time in 2008
"From belly to baby and beyond." The motto says it all. The centre offers prenatal classes and doula services, as well as a host of after-birth fitness classes, parenting programs and personalized pampering services. www.ellacentre.com.
METRO MOTHERS NETWORK (MUMNET)
This not-for-profit group meets once a week. Meetings consist of a 45-minute work-out plus a one-hour program (speaker or discussion), while your child is cared for. New members are welcome, whether you are a stay-at-home mom, on maternity leave, or work part-time. FITMOM

THE PARENTING NETWORK

TORONTO PUBLIC HEALTH - INFANT PARENTING CLASSES
An excellent five-week program offered throughout the year, at no charge, to first-time parents and their babies (0-4 months). A great way to meet other mothers in your area, and to learn how to parent your new baby. Call Toronto Public Health to register at 416-338-8451.
BECOMING - MATERNITY & PARENTING CENTRE
Offers classes, seminars, support groups,  and counselling services for parents-to-be and new families. Visit the website for details: www.becomingmaternity.com.
MOMS IN THE CITY
Offers varied and interesting ways for moms to connect. Events include: gallery walks/tours; culinary classes and experiences; neighbourhood walks/tours; meetings with artists, entrepreneurs, and designers; art classes; and educational luncheons for new moms. RESCUE MOMS
